At the end of our last English course we decided to have a picnic with our colleagues. One of us had a good idea: riding our bikes to a pond fifteen kilometres from here, called Weitlan. Bernie forgot his swimming clothes and so he was responsible for the barbecue. We had great fun but suddenly the sky got dark and lightning appeared in the sky. One minute later it was raining cats and dogs and the prepared food was completely wet. So Bernie was in a bad mood, drove away in his car and left us behind alone. But where were our clothes? In Bernie's car! So we all had a big problem.


Anni called Gabriela:
  A: Hello, Gabriela. Today is a beautiful day. Would you like to have a picnic with me?
  G: Hello, Anni. That's a beautiful idea! What time shall we meet?
  A: In ten minutes. Let's meet in Gnadenwald by the "Weisenbach" stream. 
  G: I have an apple cake. Could you bring coffee or tea?
  A: Yes, of course. And I'll bring a bottle of rum and water, too.
  G: Oh, my God! That sounds wonderful!
Anni and Gabriela enjoyed the picnic until a heavy storm put a sudden end to it. Typical for Tyrol!


We looked out of the window and saw that the weather was very good. The sun was shining. It was a perfect day to have a picnic with our friends. 
We called our friends and met at our place to make some sandwiches, cupcakes, tea and other drinks.
We took our bikes and rode to a lake near our home. Soon we found the perfect place: under the tree, in the shade. We spread the picnic blanket on the meadow and enjoyed our meal in free nature. 
We swam some rounds in the lake. But suddenly it became windy and we saw lightning and heard thunder. As fast as possible we ran out the water. But the wind had destroyed our picnic place.


Last Sunday my family and I were sitting at breakfast. We saw the wonderful weather outside and decided to have a picnic in the countryside. We packed the basket with our best food and drinks and drove into the blue. We saw a beautiful lake and stopped the car. We spread the blanket and looked forward to our picnic. The meal and the drinks were delicious. While we were eating and drinking, there suddenly was a strange noise. A swarm of bees joined our picnic. So we had to run away as fast as possible.
