- "used to" = to express that something was different in the past
Examples:
I used to smoke 20 cigarettes a day, but now I'm a non smoker.
There used to be traditional pubs. Now there are trendy restaurants.
Homework:
In our next lesson, bring two photos of the same place/person, but one photo taken in the past, and one taken now. Prepare a short presentation. You will have to explain to the group how things/the place/the person have changed.
DON'T FORGET:
