Change of tenses in REPORTED STATEMENTS and REPORTED QUESTIONS: 

Present  >>>          Past                        I go to school.                          >>>      He said that he went to school.

                                                               She is singing a song.             >>>      He said that she was singing a song.

                                                               We are going to run.                >>>      He said that they were going to run.

(Present >>>          Past

  Perfect                    Perfect)                I have been to London.            >>>      He said that he had been to London.

Past        >>>          Past Perfect          She went to the house.           >>>      He said that she had gone to the house.

                                                               I was looking at her.                >>>      He said that he had been looking at her.

(Past       >>>          Past Perfect          We had been there.               >>>      He said that they had been there.

„will“       >>>          „would“                  I will win the game.                   >>>      He said that he would win the game.

For STATEMENTS: He said/claimed/confessed that ...

For QUESTIONS:     He asked/wondered/wanted to know if/how/where ... 

REPORTED COMMANDS:

"Open the window!"                            >>>  He told her to open the window. / He wanted her to open the window.

"Open the window, please!"               >>>   He asked her to open the window.

"Don't speak!"                                   >>>   He warned her not to speak. / He told her not to speak.
