What we did:
- book page 28 (listening)
- book p 29 (questionnaire: Who is the fittest)
- talking about spare time activities: hobbies, pastimes (something you do when you have nothing else to do - Zeitvertreib), chores (housework etc.)
When we talk about activities, we usually use the "ing" form;
eg: cooking, swimming, playing tennis, watching TV, cleaning the flat,...
We can say how much we like an activity:
I love
I really like
I enjoy (gerne tun)
I like
I dislike (nicht mögen)
I can't stand (nicht ausstehen können)
I hate
I detest (verabscheuen)
eg: I love cooking, but I can't stand washing the dishes.
We can also say how good we are at doing an activity:
I'm good at...
I'm bad at...
I'm hopeless at...
eg: I'm good at singing, but I'm hopeless at playing the guitar.
Homework:
book p. 119 D, p 120 F, G
